An analysis focused on the municipality of Recanati in the sector of environment and sustainable mobility carried out  in the first phase of the T.A.SM.A.C. project, coordinated by Regione Marche and co-funded under the framework of the directly financed by the EU programme LIFE. The study consisted of the following steps: analysis of accommodation capacity;  report on the sustainable mobility initiatives already initiated at municipal level; carrying out of traffic surveys, with particular regard to the means of transport entering and leaving the city centre; carrying out of surveys on the air quality in the city centre; definition of indexes for the environmental evaluation; carrying out of surveys evaluating the tourists’ and citizens’ perception of the mobility services costs, with the purpose of designing new solutions; carrying out of surveys evaluating the tourists’ and citizens’ levels of satisfaction regarding the quality of life and sustainable mobility services
