The purpose of this study is to provide a concise analysis of the potential contribution of EU Cohesion policy to combating climate change. On the basis of qualitative and quantitative evidence, the study highlights the progress that has been made in the use of Structural Funds to tackle climate change. Recommendations are proposed to further strengthen the contribution of Structural Funds in the field. t33 was in charge for the statistical analysis of the correlation between the EU Structural Funds budget and climate change indicators, as well as for carrying out one of the case studies of the project
