Nicola Brignani

Nicola is a senior expert in EU funded programmes especially belonging to cohesion policy. His focus is on administrative simplification and namely on Simplified Cost Options (SCO), i.e. use of standard scales of unit costs, flat rate and lump sums in European Structural and Investment Funds. Based on substantial contribution to some of the main studies of the European Commission in the field of SCO, Nicola provides technical assistance and capacity building services to authorities managing EU funds. As an evaluator, Nicola has a long and intensive experience of European Territorial Cooperation Programmes in several European areas, such as in the Mediterranean and Eastern neighbouring areas.
